We currently host several programs for the Community and its visitors as part of our initiative for Interpretive Education: develop and promote walking, cultural events and educational forums and activities that promote VSJ as the cradle of Hispanic heritage in the New World. We are currently working on a children's play route in the Luis Ramirez park.

 

Art Workshops:

Batey de Bomba​:

We recently received a Grant by Fundacion Flamboyan para las Artes. This Grant provides a cultural workshop to teach local residents how to build "Bomba" drums and also how to dance this folkloric dance. 

 

"Construcción de Barril":

this newly added workshop starts every three weeks by maestro Molinelli, a legend in the Bomba community.

Here the public can make and own a Bomba drum for a fee or help as a volunteer to enjoy the experience .
